Introduction

The IC695ALG600-DD is a high-performance universal analog input module for the PACSystems RX3i platform. It provides eight general-purpose input channels and two dedicated CJC channels, divided into two isolated groups of four channels each. Each channel is individually software-configurable via Proficy Machine Edition, supporting a wide range of input types including voltage, current, thermocouple, RTD, and resistance. The module features autocalibration at power-up, onboard error-checking, open-circuit and short-circuit detection, user-defined scaling, and configurable alarms (overrange, underrange, high/low alarms, rate-of-change alarms). The -DD revision specifically enhances tolerance to terminal block detection and includes firmware version 1.14, which resolves earlier issues related to CJC accuracy, open-wire RTD affecting adjacent channels, and unstable thermocouple readings on open circuits.
