LONG DESCRIPTION
The IC655CPU500 is the central processing module for the GE Fanuc Series Five PLC platform. Installed beside the power supply in the CPU base unit, it executes ladder-logic instructions from the removable memory cartridge, supports configurable RS-232 and RS-232/RS-422 communications, and maintains time and date functions with a battery-backed real-time clock/calendar. Basic one-word ladder functions can be executed in 0.5 microseconds, while front-panel indicators provide status information for power, run, CPU, diagnostics, battery, memory, I/O and communications.
