When should I choose the High Overload (HO) mode instead of Low Overload (LO)?
A: Choose High Overload (HO) if your application requires high starting torque or handles heavy transient loads, as it provides 150% overload for 57s and 200% for 3s. Choose Low Overload (LO) for applications with a steady load that only occasionally peaks slightly above the continuous rating, as it offers a higher continuous output current (18.00 A vs. 13.20 A) for the same hardware.
What is the significance of the "0.009 m³/s cooling air requirement"?
A: This is the minimum airflow required to properly cool the drive's internal heatsink. When installing the module in an enclosure, the cabinet ventilation or cooling system must be designed to provide at least this amount of airflow through the drive to prevent it from overheating and derating or tripping on a thermal fault.
Can I use a motor cable longer than 100 m?
A: The datasheet specifies a maximum unshielded cable length of 100 m (50 m for shielded). Using longer cables can cause voltage spikes at the motor terminals due to cable capacitance and reflections, which can stress the motor insulation and the drive's output components. If a longer run is required, it is strongly recommended to install a motor reactor or an output dv/dt filter between the drive and the cable.
